We've been away from Ragusa Ibla for a couple of days, and have been battling some technical problems in our new location, but we have one more treat from Ragusa. Piazza Duomo in Ragusa Ibla slopes down from the great baroque Duomo of San Giorgio. We were sitting at a cafe in the piazza, enjoying a Campari soda and the snacks they so generously offer when you order a drink, when the bells of San Giorgio began chiming in full concert. We got the camera out as quickly as possible and recorded almost a minute of it.
Before the San Giorgio concerto ended, the bells at the Church of San Giuseppe, which is a couple hundred meters away, began chiming. At the end of the video you can hear the San Giuseppe bells, and even see a hammer striking a bell. Here are the two great baroque churches...
