We took a road trip today to the small town of Riposto in search of - as always - Diet Pepsi. We didn't have any luck...this is obviously a Coke country...but we found the next best thing (or maybe the BEST thing)...an
enoteca selling wine right out of the cask. We were amazed at the prices...1.80 euro per liter and .25 euro for a two liter bottle to carry it home in...wow !
The man in the shop let us taste whatever we wanted and was very friendly. We came home with 4 liters of wine for 7.70 euros...what a deal !
