What a beautiful appartamento !  Sofia, the owner, speaks perfect English and is adorable.  She had a surprise (una sorpresa) for us in the bedroom....anniversary balloons !

Since our brains were on overload, we had a hard time falling asleep, but finally managed until...we were suddenly awakened at 2 am by a huge BANG !  Did something fall off the wall ? Did the oven blow up ? Was someone in the apartment trying to assassinate us ??

No...one of the balloons exploded !  No more "anniversary" for us...but we are apparently still "happy"...

An interesting end to an interesting day...
