Easter Sunday in Barcelona dawned bright and sunny, so we decided it would be the perfect day to explore the waterfront, old port, marina, beach, and other areas that make up Barcelona's amazing harbor. We had seen a great deal of it on the HoHo bus the day before, and thought it would be great to explore more fully on foot. We assumed it would be fairly quiet on Easter Sunday. Were we wrong. It was mobbed...

The Barcelona harbor is so vast and interesting, an incredible place. With dozens of restaurants and entertainment venues of every description, it is
the place to be on a sunny Sunday. We didn't even get to explore the Olympic Port, which is a village and neighborhood unto itself... or the wonderful beaches. We walked until we couldn't walk any more, then took the Metro back to the hotel, where we rested up for dinner that night. Of the many choices of restaurants, we chose Buenos Aires, an Argentinian steak house. It was the perfect distance to walk from our hotel (meaning not too far). We sat outside next to the heater... it was a perfect meal and evening.

We could not have planned a better Easter Sunday in Barcelona... It was a day we will remember for a long time. As our time in Spain draws to a close, we think maybe Columbus is pointing toward Buffalo...
